Cortland police seek public's help in solving burglary case

CORTLAND, N.Y. — The Cortland Police Department is looking for the public's help in solving a recent burglary.

On Thurs., Dec. 8,  a residence on Riverview Avenue in the city was broken into during the daytime. A large amount of jewelry and cash was stolen, police said.

A witness in the area saw a suspicious gold-colored, midsize four-door vehicle in the area.

Anyone having information on the identity of the vehicle — or the stolen property — is asked to contact Sgt. Edwards at 607-753-3001. All calls will be kept confidential.
