This weekend: Celebrate Cortland and Brockway Truck Show

CORTLAND, N.Y. - Two big events this weekend are expected to draw more than 1,000 people to downtown Cortland.

The third annual "Celebrate Cortland" event will take place in Courthouse Park on Sat., Aug. 12, from 12 to 5 p.m. The event will feature live music, a 50/50 raffle, guest speakers, an obstacle course from the Cortland Fire Department, free pizza, and face painting.

Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item that will be donated to local food pantries.

Brockway Truck Show

The Brockway Truck Preservation Association is celebrating its 18th Annual National Brockway Truck Show in downtown Cortland.

The weekend-long event officially kicked off Thursday night and will run through Sunday afternoon.

Friday

11 a.m. - "Huskie Drive" starting at Brockway Museum (CNY Living History Center)
4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Wine, Craft Beer, and Cider Tasting Event at CNY Living History Center
6 - 8 p.m. - Fundraising dinner at the Brockway Museum (reservations required)
7:30 p.m. - Brockway live auction
9:30 p.m. - Fireworks

Saturday

8:30 a.m. - Parade from CNY Living History Center to Main Street, downtown Cortland
9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Trucks parked on Main Street; Brockway Exhibit by Cortland County Historical Society
3 p.m. - Presentation of awards on Main Street (in front of NBT Bank)
5 p.m. - Bob's BBQ buffet at Brockway Museum

Sunday

8 a.m. - 11 a.m. - Pancake breakfast at Brockway Museum (pay at the door)
8 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Third Annual South Central NY Chapter of ATCA Alt-Make Truck Show
