84-year-old man dies from injuries sustained in Cortland County crash

Cortland, N.Y. – An 84-year-old man died on Monday from injuries he sustained in a car accident in Cortland County three days prior, according to state police.

Bernard E. Hall, of Marathon, was driving on Turner Hill Road last Friday when he lost control on a snow-covered road and flipped his vehicle.

Police responded at 1:32 p.m. They found Hall of the east side of the road, unconscious and trapped inside his 2009 Chevrolet Colorado.

Hall was removed from the vehicle and taken by emergency personnel to the Cortland Regional Medical Center.

He was pronounced dead “from numerous blunt force trauma injuries sustained to his body during the accident,” according to the news release.
