4 charged in Cortland meth bust

Cortland, N.Y. — Authorities have charged four people in Cortland County with making meth, according to a news release on Friday.

State police and the Cortland County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the town of Cortlandville on Wednesday after receiving a complaint about meth making at the residence.

There, police found approximately 4 ounces of methamphetamine oil, approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine, several items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine, packaging materials and a digital, according to a news release.

Here’s who has been charged and the charges they face:

— Casey L. Chorley, age 25 of 4003 Conable Ave, Cortland, N.Y. with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree, Unlawful Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree (2 counts).

— Dulcie A. Brown, age 21, of 4003 Conable Ave, Cortland, N.Y. with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree , Unlawfully Manufacturing Methamphetamine 3rd degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree (2 counts).

— Andrew J. Fiorentini, age 32, of 31 Central Ave, Apt 13, Cortland, N.Y. with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree, Unlawfully Manufacturing Methamphetamine 3rd degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence.

— Holdan W. Hayes, age 28, of 2071 CR-139, Ovid, N.Y. with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree, Unlawfully Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Burglary in the 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest. Hayes was also taken into custody for a pending Unlawfully Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd degree charge and active warrant out of the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department.

All four defendants were arraigned in the Town of Cortlandville Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail.

In addition, the Cortlandville Fire Department responded and assisted at the scene.
