CORTLAND, N.Y. – A Cortland man is accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl earlier this month.

Tim Yocum, 47, was taken into custody by city police on Tuesday.
Yocum faces two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree, a felony.
He was also charged with two counts of assault after he fought with officers while being booked at the police station, according to Lt. Rick Troyer with the Cortland Police Department.
Two officers were taken to Cortland Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries and released, Troyer said.
Yocum was taken to Cortland County jail without bail.
