MARATHON, N.Y. – A Pennsylvania man was arrested on a DWI charge Tuesday after his vehicle was involved in an accident on I-81 in the town of Marathon.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, a state trooper responded to a report of a property damage accident on I-81 in Marathon.
Menderis
An investigation determined that the driver, 48-year-old Michael L. Menderis of Hawley, Pennsylvania, was impaired by drugs and alcohol when he struck the guard rail.
Menderis was arrested on misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and driving while impaired by drugs.
Menderis was issued tickets to return to Marathon Town Court on Wednesday.
He consented to a urine test for drugs and alcohol and the lab results are pending, police said.
