GERMAN, N.Y. – State police are searching for an 81-year-old man who was reported missing Saturday from his home in Chenango County.

Turshman
Alfred H. Turshman was last seen on Friday at around 1 p.m. in the hamlet of Cincinnatus, police said.
Troopers are searching the area with assistance from the state police aviation unit, search dogs and the state police SCUBA unit.
Officials are also utilizing forest rangers, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Cincinnatus Fire Department to aid in the search effort.
Police say Turshman has dementia. He is described as 5'08" and weighs about 180 pounds. He is bald and may be wearing a light blue and tan button-down long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and brown loafers.
