Motorcyclist killed in crash north of Cortland County

TULLY, N.Y. – A 65-year-old man was killed Tuesday night after crashing into two deer in the town of Tully, state police announced Wednesday.

The accident happened on Route 80 in southern Onondaga County at around 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.

Milton E. Johnson, Jr., of Marietta, was traveling westbound on Route 80 in a 1993 Harley Davidson motorcycle when two deer crossed the road, troopers said.

The motorcycle struck both deer, causing Johnson to be ejected, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tully Fire and EMS crews were also called for assistance.
