Marc Stemerman and John Meier, the owners of Greek Peak, are in the process of finalizing the purchase of the Fabius ski center, Syracuse.com reports.

The pair of Elmira businessman, both lifelong skiers, purchased Greek Peak out of bankruptcy in 2013 and have invested millions of dollars to improve the resort.

Season pass holders at both resorts will able to use their passes at either facility.

Stemerman and Meier will purchase the resort from Jim Hickey, whose family has owned Toggenburg since the 1950s. They hope the acquisition will encourage more skiers from the Syracuse area to visit Greek Peak.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
