NORWICH, N.Y. – A Chenango County man who worked as a substitute employee for the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities was arrested for allegedly falsifying his time sheets.

Timothy B. Green, 26, of New Berlin, was arrested by state police on Wednesday following an investigation by the New York State Office of the Inspector General.
The investigation determined that from November 2014 through September 2015, Green had turned in time sheets for work that he did not do, receiving over $39,000 in payments, according to police.
Green faces charges of first degree forgery and third degree grand larceny, both felonies, and a misdemeanor charge of falsifying business records.
Green was arraigned in Guilford Town Court and taken to Chenango County jail on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
He was due to appear in Guilford Town Court on Friday.
