Pamela A. Hinshaw, 61, of Homer, was arrested Tuesday on charges of second degree grand larceny, second degree forgery, and first degree falsifying business records, all felony charges.

In September 2015, state police say they were advised of a theft from Advanced Design Consulting USA, Inc., on Ridge Road in the town of Lansing.

An investigation determined that from 2007 through 2015, Hinshaw had stolen more than $240,000 by issuing herself checks from the business operations accounts and then forging the owner's signature.

Hinshaw was able to alter the business records of the company to hide her thefts, police said.

Hinshaw was arraigned in Lansing Town Court and taken to Tompkins County jail on $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 property bond. Her next court date in the town of Lansing is Nov. 12.
