1 - Support local merchants as part of Small Business Saturday
First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate the Shop Small movement to drive shoppers to local merchants across the U.S.

2 - Follow SUNY Cortland as they take on Linfield College in the NCAA playoffs
Cortland travels more than 2,800 miles to the West Coast as the nationally 25th-ranked Red Dragons will face second-ranked Linfield College of Oregon in the NCAA Division III tournament second round. One of 16 teams remaining in the tournament, Empire 8 champion Cortland (9-2) is coming off a 45-21 home win over 21st-ranked Salisbury in the first round last Saturday. Kickoff is at 12 p.m.

3 - See Amy Helm & The Handsome Strangers perform at Center for the Arts of Homer
Amy Helm is the daughter of The Band’s Levon Helm and singer/songwriter Libby Titus, and a lifetime of growing up around some of the finest American music ever recorded is evident.Tickets are available at Center4Art.org or via phone 749-4900.
4 - See local favorites Chris Merkley and Steve Morgan perform live at BRIX
A post-Thanksgiving bash hosted by Merkley & Morgan. Show starts at 10 p.m. and special guests will be featured throughout the night.

5 - "Paint & Sip" at the Finger Lakes Tasting Room
A Christmas themed paint and sip at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 29. Learn how to create your own masterpiece. The cost of the event is $35.00 which includes all supplies, as well as a wine or beer tasting.

6 - Participate in Toys for Tots Drive
Sons of Sam, Cortland, are having a Toys for Tots drive on Saturday, Nov. 27 at the VFW on 76 Main St in Cortland from 12 - 5 p.m. $10 or bring a toy donation at the door.

7 - Rising local musician to perform at Cortland Beer Company
Rachel Beverly will perform at the Cortland Beer Company on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m.
