Homer man charged with forcible touching

HOMER, N.Y. – A Homer man was arrested Wednesday and charged with forcibly touching a female victim.

On Saturday, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Department took a complaint from a female victim stating that she had been touched inappropriately.

Following an investigation, deputies charged Robert M. Homer, 71, of Mountainview Drive in Homer, with 1 count of forcible touching and 1 count of second-degree unlawful imprisonment, both misdemeanors. Authorities did not release the age of the victim.

Homer was arraigned on the charges in Cortlandville Town Court Wednesday and released on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to return to town court Dec. 28.
