CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. – One person was transported to Cortland Regional Medical Center following a two-car crash on Christmas Eve, the Cortland County Sheriff's Department announced Monday.

At around 5:52 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a personal injury accident on Route 11 in the town of Cortlandville.
A vehicle was stopped while waiting to make a left turn when it was hit from behind, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
Anthony J. Chrzan, 48, of Marathon was driving a 2011 Chevy Silverado when he rear ended the other vehicle, a Chevy pickup truck, according to police.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to Cortland Regional Medical Center. Two other passengers in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Chrzan was charged with driving while intoxicated and following too closely, a traffic infraction. He was issued tickets and released with a court appearance in Cortlandville Town Court Jan. 11.
