SCOTT, N.Y. – A Cortland County man was arrested Thursday following a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend.

Jentre T. Bergman, 24, of Scott, was arrested Wednesday and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and second-degree harassment, a violation.
The arrest occurred after state police were advised of a domestic dispute that occurred at a home on State Route 41 in the town of Scott.
An investigation determined that during a physical dispute with his ex-girlfriend, Bergman threw her cellphone against a wall, smashing it, police said in a news release Thursday.
Bergman was arraigned in Homer Town Court and taken to Cortland County jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 property bond.
His next court date in the town of Scott is Jan. 19.
