Cortland weekend forecast: Snow possible Sunday night

CORTLAND, N.Y. – A hazardous weather is in effect for Cortland County as of Friday morning.

Some light rain will develop Friday night, which could to turn to snow by Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton. No heavy snow accumulation is expected over the weekend.

On Saturday, high temperatures will reach into the upper 30s. Forecasters are calling for highs in the upper 20s on Sunday with a 40 percent chance of snow showers.

A clipper system may bring a quick light coating of snow Sunday night, which could make roads slick for early Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
