Cortland agency launches transportation service for Medicaid patients

CORTLAND, N.Y. — Family Counseling Services of Cortland has begun offering a transportation service to local residents who are covered by Medicaid in Cortland County, the agency announced Tuesday.

Two shuttles will be in service Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The service will be available to any Medicaid-eligible individuals who need transportation to medical appointments in the county.

“With our own clients, we have been made acutely aware of how much need there is for transportation services to make their medical appointments. I am thrilled we can meet this need in our community,” Family Counseling Services Executive Director Lisa Hoeschele said in a press release Tuesday.

Medicaid eligible individuals can obtain more information or schedule transportation by calling Medical Answering Services (MAS) at 1-855-733-9397 and requesting FCS for your transportation.
