Update at 8 p.m. – One person was transported to a hospital in Syracuse after being stabbed in the neck at Tompkins Cortland Community College Thursday afternoon, police said in a news release.
Two others were treated at Cortland Regional Medical Center for "cuts" they received during the incident. None of the injuries are considered life threatening, police said.
Officials said two knives were used during the incident. One was found in a hospital bathroom where the people were treated and another was found on one of the injured people.
All people have been banned for campus, though two people who lived in residence halls will be escorted to their rooms to get their belongs.
Police have not released the names of those involved in the incident, but said they have been in contact with all four people.
Nobody has been arrested or charged as of Thursday night, police said.
Police have said the investigation is continuing and are asking people who have information about the incident to call TC3 Campus Police at 607-844-6511 .

DRYDEN, N.Y. — Three people were hospitalized after an "altercation" at Tompkins Cortland Community College Thursday afternoon.

TC3 police were called to an area in front of the cafeteria after reports of the incident happened around 2:30 p.m.
Public Information Officer Peter Voorhees said officials believe four people were involved in the incident and there was no immediate danger to other students. The school was not put on lockdown.
He said people's injuries are not life threatening, but declined to give further information about them — including whether they are students — saying that officers were still interviewing those involved. A knife was involved in the incident, according to campus officials.
He said police intend on releasing more information about the incident Thursday night.
