CORTLAND, N.Y. — Hundreds of firefighters from across New York state came to Cortland this weekend to compete in the annual Firefighters' 'Winter Olympics.'

The games allow fire departments to compete against one another and hone their training skills.
Participants dressed in full gear and competed in several competitions, including tube races, a sled pull and a hose relay.

We are happy to report that the Marathon Fire Department took 1st place in the tug-of-war competition.
