NEWFIELD, N.Y. — After having been missing for over 10 days, Newfield resident Carolynn Weeks was found dead, according to New York State Police.
New York State Police Investigator Rick Haas confirmed that Carolynn Weeks was found dead "in proximity of her vehicle" in a remote area on Connecticut Hill.

Many of the roads on Connecticut Hill are not maintained during the winter, making them difficult to navigate after any substantial snowfall.
Her vehicle had been found and reported by people out snowmobiling on Thursday. The car was undamaged.
Haas said that the police do not suspect foul play. He said that the police have theories as to what happened, but the investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.
Weeks was last in contact with her family on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at around 2:30 p.m. She did not return from work as expected that day and a search had been ongoing since then.
The Ithaca Voice will provide additional details when they become available.
