SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Police Department is investigating a reported child abduction that occurred near Valley Drive in Syracuse Saturday night.

The child, Maddox Lawrence, is a white female, approximately 1 year old with blonde hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt with a pink collar and brown puppies, long pink pants, a blue coat with a pink interior, brown suede shoes and a gray knit hat with pom poms.
The suspect, Ryan Joseph Lawrence, is a white male, approximately 24 years old with brown hair and brown eyes. Lawrence is the father of the child, according to Syracuse police.

Lawrence left home with the child shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday after leaving information indicating that he was going to harm himself and possibly the child, police said. He was last seen wearing a gray shell jacket, blue jeans and tan timberland boots.
Their last known location was possibly a parking lot in the Destiny USA Mall.
Lawrence has a history of mental health issues and is emotionally unstable, according to police.
