Three people struck by vehicle in Cortland

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Cortland police are investigating an accident Wednesday that sent one woman to the hospital.

At around 7 p.m. Wednesday, a woman and two men were crossing Port Watson Street from Greenbush Street when they were struck by a vehicle, according to Lt. Richard Troyer with the City of Cortland Police Department.

A 54-year-old woman was transported by ambulance to Upstate Medical University in Syracuse for treatment of a non-life threatening head injury, he said.

One pedestrian suffered a minor injury, and the other was uninjured. All of the pedestrians were in their 50s, Troyer said. The driver was a male in his early 50s.

No tickets have been issued, nor have any criminal charges been filed. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
