CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. – Two Tioga County residents have been charged with drug possession following a traffic stop at WalMart, the Cortland County Sheriff's Department announced Monday.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the Walmart parking lot for an aggressive driver.
The driver, James P. Stoughton, 24, of Berkshire, was driving with a suspended license and was in possession of methamphetamine, according to Lt. Todd Caufield with the sheriff's department.
His passenger, Amy Ellerson, 26, of Berkshire, was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Stoughton was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation for driving without a license. Both Stoughton and Ellerson were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
They were arraigned in Cortlandville Town Court and taken to Cortland County Jail on $100 cash bail.
