Police find missing elderly man from Cayuga Heights area in Pennsylvania

Update 11:20 a.m. – Police have clarified that David Sprague's home is located in the village of Lansing, but that it is located very closely to Cayuga Heights.

Update 9:01 a.m. – Officials have released the following information about precisely where an elderly man went missing from Thursday afternoon.

In an email, police said, "It appears Mr. (David) Sprague left from his residence in the Cayuga Heights area...He was last in the company of a family member prior to that in the city of Ithaca."

ITHACA, N.Y. – Police have released more information about an elderly man who has been missing since Thursday afternoon.

In an updated news release from police, officials said David Sprague, 81, was last seen around 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Ithaca.

He is still missing as of about 8 a.m. Friday morning.

Sprague suffers from dementia and was last seen driving a brown, 4-door, 2010 Buick LaCrosse. It has a specialty sailboat licence plate numbered 182ACL.

He is 5-feet-11-inches tall, 157 pounds (according to updated information ), has hazel eyes, white hair and is balding.

Officials said that in addition to calling 911, anyone with more information can call the Tompkins County Department of Emergency Response at 607-272-2444.

CAYUGA HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Police are looking for an elderly man suffering from dementia who they say has been missing from the Cayuga Heights area since Thursday afternoon.

David Sprague, 81, is described as being 5-feet-11-inches tall, about 185 pounds, has white hair and is balding. Police say he suffers from dementia.

He was last seen driving a brown, 4-door, 2010 Buick LaCrosse. It has a specialty sailboat licence plate numbered 182ACL.

He was last seen at 2:30 p.m. in the Cayuga Heights area.

Anyone with information is being asked to call 911.
