Authorities investigating after eight meth labs found in Solon

SOLON, N.Y. — The Cortland County Sheriff's Office is looking for possible suspects in connection with eight discarded "One Pot" meth labs found in the town of Solon Wednesday.

On Wednesday afternoon, deputies responded to the "truck trail," an area of state land near Baker SchoolHouse Road in the town of Solon, after receiving a report of items laying in the road that were possibly used to make meth.

Officers located eight used "One Pots" and other components used to make meth, according to Lt. Todd Caufield with the sheriff's office.

Investigators from the sheriff's office contacted the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Response Emergency Team for assistance in cleaning up hazardous materials.

No suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cortland County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division at 607-758-6151.
