SOLON, N.Y. — A Cortland County man was arrested Thursday after being accused of making more than 40 unwanted calls to his ex-girlfriend, New York State Police said Monday.

Kyle J. Heller, 29, of Solon, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation.
The arrest occurred after a state trooper was advised of a possible violation of an order of protection that occurred at a home in the town of Marathon.
An investigation determined that Heller "had recently made over 40 unwanted telephone calls to his ex-girlfriend," police said in a news release.
Heller was arraigned in Freetown Town Court and released on his own recognizance. His next court date in Marathon Town Court is May 4.
