Local residents to be inducted into newly formed Cortland County Hall of Fame

CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Homeville Museum, in conjunction with the Cortland County Historical Society, has announced the Inaugural Class of the Cortland County Hall of Fame.

The selectees, in chronological order, are:

Samuel G. Hatheway (1780 – 1865)

Amelia Jenks Bloomer (1818 – 1894)

William O. Stoddard (1835 – 1925)

Elmer A. Sperry (1860 – 1930)

Chester F. Wickwire (1863 – 1910)

John J. McGraw (1873 – 1934)

Zenta Krauklis (1912 – 2003)

Levi R. Chase (1917 – 1994)

Arnald D. Gabriel (1926 - )

Catherine Bertini (1950 - )

There will be an Induction Ceremony in the CNY Living History Center Auditorium on May 7 at 1:00 pm, in conjunction with the opening of new exhibits.

Each inductee will be individually showcased on a new display that will tell their story. The ceremony is open to the public.

Admission is $5.00 for the ceremony, or $10.00 for the ceremony and tour of the museum.
