MARATHON, N.Y. – A Cortland County man who had been wanted on an arrest warrant was located by state police Monday.
At around 2:30 p.m., Edward L. Short, Jr., was seen in the parking lot of the Dollar General store in the town of Marathon.
Police searched Short and found him in possession of less than one gram of cocaine. He was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Short was issued a ticket to return to Marathon Town Court next month. He was then turned over to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office on his warrant.
