Truxton man charged in domestic dispute

TRUXTON, N.Y. — A town of Truxton man was charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child following a reported domestic dispute at his residence Monday.

At about 9:35 a.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Cheningo Road in the town of Truxton for a reported domestic incident.

Officers learned that Robert E. Miller, 26, who resides at the home, became involved in a physical altercation with a 16-year-old female at the residence.

Miller was arrested and transported to the Cortland County Jail for processing. He was subsequently charged with second-degree harassment, a violation, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

He was arraigned in Truxton Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court next month.
