An Onondaga County man was arrested Monday following a traffic stop on I-81 in Homer, state police announced today.
Gordon M. Athok, 39, of Solvay, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a felony, and several traffic violations. Police say Athok had a B.A.C. result of .21 percent.
The arrest occurred after troopers observed Athok driving at 34 mph in a 65 mph speed limit zone shortly after 2 a.m Monday.
He was charged with a felony for having a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years, police said in a news release.
Athok was arraigned in Homer Town Court and taken to Cortland County jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 property bond. His next court date is July 19.
