CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Cortland man faces a felony rape charge after being accused of having sexual intercourse with a minor, according to the city police department.
Zachary J. Morgan, 18, was arrested July 21 at 12:50 p.m. on second-degree rape, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, according to Lt. Richard Troyer with the Cortland Police Department.

Police say Morgan had sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16 on May 29.
Morgan was sent to Cortland County Jail with bail set at $1,250 cash. He was scheduled to appear in Cortland City Court today.
