CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Cortland woman is facing accusations that she left her young child alone in a locked hotel room.
On Thursday, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to the Days Inn Hotel at 3775 Route 11 in Cortlandville.
Becky A. Bezet, 28, is alleged to have left her 3-year-old child locked in a hotel room while she "left the room to attend to other business briefly," the sheriff's office said in a news release.
Bezet was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
She was arraigned in Cortlandville Town Court and released on her own recognizance. She's scheduled to appear in court next week.
