Cortland LGBTQ Resource Center to host annual picnic

The following is a republished press release from the Cortland LGBTQ Resource Center and not an article written by The Cortland Voice...to submit a press release, community announcement or information about an upcoming event, email Editor Peter Blanchard at [email protected].

Members of the LGBTQ community, family, friends and allies are invited to attend the LGBTQ+ Annual Picnic on August 13.

Social isolation can be particularly high within the LGBTQ community, and often people don’t feel that they have a place to be their most authentic selves. Our annual picnic strives to give LGBTQ people a safe, judgement-free space to express themselves freely and socialize with other members of the LGBTQ community.

Event Details:

– Saturday, August 13 from noon to 3pm at Yaman Park (Pavilion 1)

– Catered by Uncle Louie’s Backyard; vegetarian options available

– Tickets for free treats from Skippy’s Ice Cream truck

– Giveaways, games, and great company! Don’t miss out!!

There is no fee to attend but guests are asked to contact the LGBTQ Resource Center to RSVP or request special accommodations by calling 607-756- 8970 or emailing [email protected]
