Cortland judge sentences Syracuse man on drug possession charge

CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Syracuse man was sentenced in Cortland County Court Thursday in a drug possession case that began in September.

Wallace, Jr. Tramond G.On Thursday, Judge Julie Campbell sentenced Tramond G. Wallace to two years in state prison followed by two years of post-release supervision, according to the court clerk's office.

Wallace, 22, previously pleaded guilty to felony criminal possession of a controlled substance as part of a plea deal.

Wallace was arrested in September after state police executed a search warrant of his vehicle on I-81 in Preble and found about 14 grams of crack cocaine.

Troopers also seized a digital scale and about $1,500 in cash during the traffic stop.
