At about 1:57 am Officers from the Ithaca Police Department and the Cornell University Police Department responded to a large fight at the intersection of College Avenue and Campus Road. Upon arrival officers located two male victims suffering from stab wounds. Medical aid was provided by first responders on scene.
One victim was flown to Upstate Medical Center for treatment of several stab wounds and was later released. The other victim was transported to Cayuga Medical Center and was later pronounced dead.
A homicide investigation is currently underway. The Ithaca Police Department is leading a team of several local law enforcement agencies who are engaged in the investigation. The New York State Police Forensic Identification Unit is processing the crime scene. Witness interviews are underway, and suspect information is still being developed. Additional information will be released as it is developed.

Names of the victims are not being released at this time pending notification of immediate family.
