CORTLAND, N.Y. — To enable voters to hear candidates and question them about important issues in the November 8 election, the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Cortland County is sponsoring four “Meet the Candidates” forums in October.

Candidates will make timed opening and closing statements. The forums will cover a range of issues.  Candidates will answer questions developed in advance by the LWV and other sponsors, as well as questions from the audience. All four forums will be moderated by Alison King, President, Cortland LWV.

A final press release will be issued in early October once the Board of Elections has certified candidates. Venues are being confirmed. Further information on the forums is available from the League at 607-836-6675.
