CUYLER, N.Y. — A woman was arrested Saturday after she punched a woman several times in the head at a home in the town of Cuyler, according to New York State Police.
On Saturday, troopers responded to a 911 report of two women fighting at a home on Keeney Road in the town of Cuyler.
An investigation determined that during a verbal disbute, Peggy R. Murdent, 52, began to punch another woman several times in the head. Murdent had left the home by the time police arrived, according to a news release.
The victim was transported by TLC Ambulance to Cortland Regional Medical Center, where she was treated for a laceration to the head.
After being located by police, Murdent was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, and issued a ticket to appear in Cuyler Town Court Nov. 14.
