VIRGIL, N.Y. — One person was killed in an accident on Interstate 81 early Wednesday morning that involved a car and a tractor trailer.
The accident occurred shortly before 4 a.m. on I-81 northbound in the town of Virgil, according to a news release from New York State Police.
The crash involves a tractor trailer and a car. Police declined to provide specific details regarding the crash as they continue their investigation.
The righthand lane on I-81 between Marathon and McGraw remains closed as police continue their investigation, though traffic is allowed in the passing lane.
