Homeville Museum is seeking nominations for 2017 Inductees into our Cortland County Hall of Fame.  We inducted 10 members as the Inaugural Class in 2016.  This year’s goal is to add five additional people whose achievements (in industry, public service, military, entertainment or many other ways) are worthy of honoring, plus showcase the rich history of Cortland County and our great country.  Full procedures can be obtained from our website, https://homevillemuseum.wordpress.com/cny-local-history/ or by emailing us at: [email protected]. Additionally, copies are available for pick up at the CNY Living History Center, 4386 US Route 11, Cortland, NY.

A nomination can be as simple as the person’s name and can be returned via email, dropping off at the CNY Living History Center or by mailing to: Hall of Fame Committee, Homeville Museum, PO Box 162, Homer, NY 13077

Nominations are due by February 22, 2017. Following the nomination phase, we’ll have a selection phase by a panel of community members. We are seeking volunteers and/or suggestions for members of this panel. Please use the contact information above, or call the CNY Living History Center at 607-299-4185, if you would like to volunteer or suggest someone for the selection panel.

The 2017 class of honorees will be announced in early April and inducted in early May at the annual opening of the CNY Living History Center’s new displays. They will each have their picture and biography prominently displayed and their names included on a plaque.
