1 – Basketball and Kids Day at SUNY Cortland Park Center

Description: SUNY Cortland Athletics, in conjunction with CFCU Community Federal Credit Union, will be holding its Kids Day on Saturday, Jan. 7, at Park Center. The Red Dragons will be hosting a basketball doubleheader at Corey Gymnasium versus Oneonta, starting with the men's game at 2 p.m., followed by the women's game at 4 p.m., and the men's ice hockey team will host Manhattanville College right down the hall at Alumni Arena at 7 p.m. The auxiliary gym in the Park Center will be open and full of various activities for the kids in attendance, along with coloring and crafts in the hallway, and there will be team posters available for post-game autographs and meet-and-greets with the Cortland student-athletes. In addition, fun halftime and intermission activities will be held for the kids to participate in during the games, and CFCU will be bringing a special giveaway to all those in attendance. For more information, contact Cortland Assistant Athletic Director Jaclyn Lawrence by email or phone at 607-753-4923.

2 – Jimmy Rogers Band at BRU 64

Date/Time: Friday, Jan. 6, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

3 – Cross-country skiing at Lime Hollow

Date/Time: All weekend
Location: Lime Hollow Nature Center,

Description: Lime Hollow offers several sets of (adult) cross-country skis and (adult and child) snowshoes for rent, to use on our well-marked ski trail: a 2.25-mile loop, rated easy to moderate, which starts and finishes at our visitor center, and meanders through gently rolling hills, open fields, pine forests, and nearby ponds and streams. Trails are open dawn until dusk every day, free of charge, and trail maps can be found at the kiosk by the Visitor Center. Nordic Winter Center is open Wed-Thurs-Fri 10 am-5 pm; Sat-Sun 10 am-4 pm.
