Two teens charged with burglary at William George Agency

FREEVILLE, N.Y. — Two teenagers are facing felony burglary charges after allegedly illegally entering the auto shop at William George Agency in Freeville, and then running away.

Two 16-year-old boys allegedly committed the burglary by entering the auto shop illegally and then they were reported as runaways Saturday, said Trooper Nathan Riegal, public information officer for NYSP Troop C. The two teenagers were arrested around 9 p.m. Monday in Waterloo, according to state police records.

Police are not releasing the boys' names since they are minors and not charged with a violent crime, Riegal said.

State police have charged the two teenagers with third-degree burglary, a felony, and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail with $750 cash bail.

Ronald Trumino, chief operating officer, said William George Agency is aware of the situation and everyone is safe. He said the damage in the auto shop was "fairly minimal." Trumino said the two teenagers will answer the legal charges, and the William George Agency is figuring out where to go from here.
