Cortland County attorney announces bid for Cortlandville Town Judge

Lenore LeFevre

CORTLAND, N.Y. -- A longtime Cortlandville resident has announced that she will be entering the race for Cortlandville Town Judge.

A former lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve, attorney Lenore LeFevre is running for the seat currently held by Judge David Alexander, who is stepping down at the end of his term.

LeFevre is currently serving as assigned counsel administrator for Cortland County. She previously worked in the Cortland County Public Defender's office and is the current vice president of the Cortland County Bar Association.

“We have raised our family here, and watched our community grow along with us. As Cortlandville Town Judge, I will strive to serve as a fair and just administrator, as I do now in my current position, and as I have in the past as an Administrative Officer for the United States Navy Reserve,” LeFevre said in a press release.

The election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7.
