Update: Three bodies found in Tully pond identified as missing trio

TULLY, N.Y. - State police have pulled three bodies from a vehicle that was submerged in a pond in Tully, according to media reports.

The vehicle was found Tuesday afternoon in a pond near the area of Gatehouse Road and Route 80 during a search for three missing Tully residents, CNYCentral reported. The vehicle was a Ford Explorer with three people inside, according to Syracuse.com.

The bodies may be those of two women and a child who were reported missing from Tully earlier Tuesday, though police have not yet confirmed the link, reports said.

Melissa M. Avery, 26, was reported missing Monday by her mother from her residence in Tully, police said. Avery was said to be traveling with Jamie A. Bell, 34, and 5-year-old Maryssa F. Houston to an unknown address on Song Lake in Preble for a Monday barbecue event.

The three were last seen traveling together in a 2011 Ford Explorer, police said.
