CORTLAND, N.Y. - A Florida woman was arrested Monday after allegedly getting into an argument with a group of customers and threatening them with a machete.

At around 4:50 p.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to the Phantom Fireworks tent in the Kmart parking lot on Route 13 in Cortlandville on a disturbance call.

Officers learned that an argument had taken place on Sunday between the owner of the Phantom Fireworks tent and three customers, who were apparently unsatisfied with the quality of fireworks they had purchased.

During the confrontation, an employee of the fireworks tent, 19-year-old Tatianna L. Scott, of Miami, Florida, removed a large machete from a nearby vehicle and began holding it above her head and pointing it at the customers, according to the sheriff's office.

Scott also threatened the use of, and had in her possession, a hand-held electronic stun gun, authorities said.

She was arrested, arraigned in Cortlandville Town Court, and released to appear in court at a future date.

Two of the three customers involved in the argument, including Robert Zimmer, 39, of Locke, and John West, 40, of Virginia, were both arrested and charged with second-degree harassment, a violation.

Scott was charged with three misdemeanor counts of second-degree menacing; two misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon; and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
