TNT Fireworks recalled due to burn and injury hazards

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for a product manufactured by TNT Fireworks that have been available for purchase in Cortland County.

The recall includes TNT Red, White, & Blue Smoke fireworks that were sold in a bag containing a red, blue, and white canister, according to the federal agency. Each colored smoke firework is a cardboard cylinder tube that measures about 1 inch in diameter and 5 inches long.

The fireworks have been sold at various locations throughout central New York, including the Riverside Plaza on Clinton Avenue in Cortland. They can also be purchased at select Target and Wal-Mart locations.

Anyone who purchased the fireworks should stop using them and contact America Promotional Events at 800-23-1189 or by emailing [email protected] for a full refund.

The company has received three incident reports, resulting in three people suffering burn injuries. No property damage has been reported.
