Narrative: On Monday, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office stopped said defendants on railroad property on Traction Drive in Cortlandville. Officers discovered that Bray was in possession of hypodermic needles, marijuana, and a controlled substance, while Cummings was in possession of marijuana, authorities said. Officers also found the defendants in possession of items commonly used to make methamphetamine. Both were arrested and transported to the Cortland County Sheriff's Office for further processing and arraignment.

Wanted Freetown man accused of trying to outrun cops

Narrative: At around 6:22 p.m. Saturday, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to 2785 Maricle Rd in the town of Freetown in an attempt to locate Kyle Dayton, who had an active arrest warrant out of Cortland County Court for manufacturing methamphetamine, authorities said. Officers arrived at Dayton's residence, at which point he attempted to outrun officers through fields and hide in a wooded area, the sheriff's office said. Dayton was arrested and arraigned in Marathon Town Court and taken to jail on $500 cash bail.
