Narrative: On Sunday, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart for a reported larceny. Officers arrested Nolan Speeding and Amber Mahoney on charges of petit larceny and conspiracy for allegedly stealing merchandise from the store. Officers also accuse Nolan Speeding of being in possession of concentrated cannabis oil when he was being processed. Both were taken to the Cortlandville Town Court for arraignment and released.

Long Island man charged with DWI

Narrative: At around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle being operated by 19-year-old Joseph Geldmacher, for failing to give sufficient notice while making a turn off of Port Watson Street in the City of Cortland, authorities said. He was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody, processed, and arraigned in city court where he was released, the sheriff's office said.
