Homer police investigating thefts from vehicles

Officers of the Homer Police Department investigated several incidents in the village where multiple vehicles were entered sometime Monday night.

The vehicles were either ransacked or items were stolen from them, police said. The incidents occurred along North and South Fulton Street and side streets off from North Main Street.

Officers are requesting residents who have a security camera system to check their system to see if it may have recorded any suspicious persons.

Residents should always lock the doors to their motor vehicles and not leave anything of value inside of the vehicle, or keep them out of view, the department said.
