Cortland police seeking man who reportedly took photos of children

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Cortland Police Department is investigating a suspicious person complaint involving a man who was seen taking photographs of children.

The incident occurred on Thurs., Sept. 26, at around 5:15 p.m. on Hyatt Street.

Three children who were playing in the area were approached by a male who took photographs of them and made them feel uncomfortable, the department said.

The male is described as an older white male with gray hair.

He may have left he area in a light blue or gray vehicle, possibly a Subaru, police said.

Neighbors reported seeing the same individual and vehicle in the area on other occasions over the past few weeks.

Police suspect the man also takes pictures of trains.
