Cincinnatus woman charged with DWI

Narrative: On Oct. 2, at around 4:07 p.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Route 38 just inside Tioga County, in the Town of Richford, for an accident that occurred in the Town of Harford. Laurieann Nielson was
operating a 2004 Grand Prix, south on Route 38, when she crossed over into the oncoming lane of traffic
and sideswiped two passing vehicles, authorities said. Officers determined that Nielson was under the influence of drugs and charged her with driving while intoxicated. She was processed and later released to a third party. No one was injured in the accident.

Dryden woman accused of shoplifting

Name: Amber L. Harris
Age: 29
Address: Dryden, N.Y.
Charges: Petit larceny (misdemeanor)
Date Arrested: Sept. 30, 2017

Narrative: On Sept. 30th, at about 6:06 p.m., Tompkins County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Target Store in the Shops at Ithaca Mall for a larceny arrest. Loss prevention staff reportedly observed a female conceal several articles of clothing and leave the store without paying for the items. The suspect was later identified as Amber L. Harris, of Dryden. She was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket.
